Compass Patient Solutions originates from a partnership with independent pharmacy locations in the Halifax Regional Municipality area of Nova Scotia. We have been providing specialty biologics for retail customers throughout Nova Scotia for well over 12 years as well as providing hospital outpatient medications for over 7 years.
Several years ago, Compass Patient Solutions began the process of reinventing its involvement in specialty drug distribution networks and created unique systems for supporting patients on high cost specialty medications and hospital based outpatient clients. Our innovative system has three key elements: (1) the involvement of independent pharmacies across Canada (2) the Compass Patient Assist technology and (3) the Compass Patient Learning LMS (Learning Management System).
The Compass Patient Solutions Specialty Network has designed its platform for Patient Support Programs to execute both a manufacturer’s defined PSP or a community pharmacy defined PSP, in tight collaboration with the manufacturer. Services in a community pharmacy defined Patient Support Program include (1) patient engagement (2) access management (3) therapy initiation and (4) therapy maintenance.
The overarching goals of the Compass Patient Solutions approach are to (1) optimize patient care (2) enhance the patient and physician experience and (3) reduce costs and measure results.
